Ms. Hatho

Ms. Hatho

Nadhira Hathotuwegama, Director

My name is Ms. Hatho, and I grew up in New York. I graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in International Studies. I also have a Montessori diploma from the University of California, Irvine in Early Childhood that is accredited by both American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). I have been teaching children for over seventeen years now. I love teaching because I enjoy working with children, creating engaging curriculum that promotes learning while building social and emotional development.

Other fun facts about me:

  • My husband, Bud, and I have two young daughters and a dog named Cooper.
  • In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, travel, bake, and read.
Ms. Treisa

Ms. Treisa

Treisa Casteel, Assistant Director

My name is Ms. Treisa, and I grew up in Huntington Beach, California. I graduated from the Montessori Institute of San Diego, where I earned my Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Montessori diploma, Assistants to Infancy (birth to 3 years old), in partnership with the University of San Diego. I have been teaching children for over fifteen years now. I love teaching because I love the reaction children have when they finally understand that they can do something themselves! I have always been drawn to children, even at a young age. I also love how honest they are and will hold you to your promise.

Other fun facts about me:

  • I’m a single mom to a great young man named Joshua, and he is 17 years old. Side note, he is an Olympic Weightlifter and a part of the USA Youth Team. I’m very close with my parents and my grandmother. We always go on fun adventures together. Family is very important to me.
  • In my free time, I like to read, workout, and hang out with my son and family. We love to watch movies, my son is a big Marvel fan, and we always stay to the end!

Sakthiya Thambirajah, Head Teacher, Infant Program

My name is Ms. Sakthiya, and I grew up in Malaysia. I graduated from Laguna Technical College, where I earned my American Early Childhood Education credentials. I have been teaching children for over twelve years now. I love teaching because it is my passion, and I love sharing my knowledge with others.

Other fun facts about me:

  • My family and I are from Malaysia. We moved to the US almost 11 years ago. My husband and I live in Orange County. I have two daughters. My eldest one graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Business, and she works for a Public Relations firm. My second daughter graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Psychology, and she is pursuing her medical degree.
  • In my free time, I love to cook, read, and travel.
Ms. Yoshitha

Ms. Yoshitha

Yoshitha Jayetileke, Head Teacher, Preschool Programs I and II

My name is Ms. Yoshitha, and I grew up in Sri Lanka. I graduated from the Havelock Gardens Training Centre in Sri Lanka, where I earned my Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Montessori diploma in The Montessori Method of Education (birth to 6 years old). I also have an Accounting degree from the Charted Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). I have been teaching children for over twenty years now. I love teaching because sharing my knowledge with others is very rewarding.

Other fun facts about me:

  • I have a 29-year-old daughter, named Minnellie. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and has a degree in Sociology. She currently works in Orange County.
  • In my free time, I like to listen to music, watch TV and hike.

Yuhana Nairoze Muthalip, Head Teacher, Toddler Program and Preschool Program I

My name is Ms. Yuhana, and I grew up in Sri Lanka. I graduated from the Havelock Gardens Training Centre in Sri Lanka, where I earned my Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) Montessori diploma in The Montessori Method of Education (birth to 6 years old). I have been teaching children for over fifteen years now. I love teaching because I enjoy working with children and seeing them grow into beautiful adults.

  • My husband, Nairoze, and I have two sons. My oldest son, Yazid, is a student at California State University, Long Beach, and my youngest son, Nijad, is a high school student.
  • In my free time, I like to listen to music and watch TV.

Ana Baez, Co-Teacher

My name is Ms. Ana, and I grew up in Anaheim, California. I graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University, where I earned my BA in Child Development. I have been teaching children for over six years now. I love teaching because I enjoy seeing children learn and helping them grow not only their academic skills but also their social and emotional skills.

Other fun facts about me:

  • I am an only child; my parents’ names are Ana and Dany. No kids yet, or anytime soon! However, I have my 15-year-old dog Mocha and my 1-year-old parrot, Yoshi. I love them both very much!
  • In my free time, I enjoy going to Disneyland, watching anime, and spending time with my family & friends.

Amanda Herrera, Assistant Teacher

My name is Ms. Amanda, and I grew up in Anaheim, California. I graduated from North Orange Continuing Education, where I earned my Early Childhood Education Certificate. I have been teaching children for over four years now. I love teaching because I love to see children mature and to see them grow into individuals.

  • I am an only child. My parents are Mary and Al. They are the best, and I love them very much!
  • In my free time, I like to go to Disneyland, collect Star Wars memorabilia, and hang out with my family.

My name is Ms. Cindy, and I grew up in Lynwood, California. I graduated from North Orange Continuing Education, where I earned my Early Childhood Education Certificate. I have been teaching children for over five years now. I love teaching because I love to watch children learn.

  • I have been married for almost nine years. I have four adult children. Josh, 30, Chris, 29, Ashleigh, 27, and Matthew, 20. I have five grandchildren, Jaylah, 7, Joshua, 5, Devin, 5 (not siblings), Aiden, 3, Noah, 2. I also have a water turtle named Ninja, and two girl cats, Oreo and Scarlett.
  • In my free time, I love to scrapbook and work on crafts.

My name is Ms. Juanita, and I grew up in Mexico. I graduated from Professional Technical College and Laguna Technical College, where I earned my Early Childhood Education credentials. I have been teaching children for over fifteen years now. I love teaching because I love bonding with children.

  • My husband, Pedro, and I have four children between the ages of 24 and 47. We also have sixteen grandchildren between the ages of 4 and 26 and one great-granddaughter under 2 years old!
  • In my free time, I love to read and knit.
